Hey GR--it's interesting how my love of S&R has changed--waned abit--the past few yrs as I explored so much of the rest of 71...the production that so tarnished eur72 (just for me kids! don't write in about my pathetic tastes) didn't seem as dramatic for S&R until recently...now I rarely if ever listen to it. I still recognize it as great, and I don't think they grossly overdid the production with dubbing and such, but it just doesn't seem as "live" as I used to think, though not as much so as Eur72.

I agree, with all the 71" s available here and elsewhere S&R has lost its luster. I always feel bad about the overdubs as I do really like Merl Saunders great Hammond work on the tracks. S&R got me interested in his work with Jerry and I still follow that today.
